The thought of newborn photos always stressed me out. Of course I wanted them, but the idea of someone seeing me freshly postpartum — hormones raging, in a messy house — felt overwhelming. When my second son was born recently, I knew I’d regret it if I didn’t have them done.

I looked into studio options, but I really wanted that “this is our real life at home” vibe. Josie turned out to be exactly what I needed — both for the photos and my mental health. She has this calm presence that instantly put me at ease. My two-year-old was running wild, and she just rolled with the chaos like it didn’t phase her one bit!

The photos are more beautiful than I could’ve imagined, and I’ll truly cherish them forever. I keep looking at them and can’t even pick which ones to print for the wall — they’re all so special. Not only do I now have these incredible photos, but I also feel like I’ve made a new mom friend who just gets it and is genuinely kind.
